Decorative Concrete—Finishing With Color and Texture

Decorative concrete
Pleasing decorative finishes can be built into concrete during construction. Variations in the color and texture of concrete surfaces are limited only by the imagination of the designer and the skill of the concrete craftsman. This webinar will provide an overview on planning and constructing a variety of decorative surfaces on concrete.

At the end of this course attendees will be able to:

1. Describe various techniques for adding color to the concrete including; the use of white cement and pigments, exposure of colorful aggregates, or the application of penetrating or chemically reactive stains.
2. Explain the different textured finishes, from a smooth polish to the roughness of gravel.
3. Define the methods to produce geometric patterns including; scoring, stamping, or divider strips.
4. Consider special requirements needed for certain service conditions.

Verified participants in this webinar will be awarded 0.1 CEUs (usable for 1.0 PDH in most places) sent via email after submitting an evaluation.
